JvYAMLb finally released as separate project

So I’ve finally made the time to extract JvYAMLb from JRuby. That means that JvYAML is mildly deprecated. Of course, since JvYAMLb only uses ByteLists it might not be the best solution for everyone.

If you’re interested in downloading the 0.1 release, you can do it at the Google Code download site http://code.google.com/p/jvyamlb/downloads/list.

I was using jvyaml, unknowingly thinking it was the latest version, because there didn’t appear to be any note on its dev site about the existence of jvyamlb. I discovered jvyamlb by coincidence when I wondered why JRuby’s YAML parser was working on a file which JvYAML wasn’t…

It might not hurt to put a note on the jvyaml site noting this.

Now I have to go through my other issues I was working around with jvyaml and see which ones still apply…
